How To Manage Your Fatigue, Burn Out And Overwhelm

Many kids and parents are coming out of the school holidays. It seems more people seem fatigued or even burnt out from the overwhelm of society coming back to life.

This is something I have spoken about in the past of this quick and fast ramp up of getting things 'back to normal'. During the last 2 years, we have become deconditioned to the way life was. The lack of activity and interaction really led to a sense of overwhelm and anxiety for many.

It's like training, if you haven't trained for the last 2 years and think you can bounce back to what you were doing pre-Covid, you have unrealistic expectations.

My recommendation is to have ways to slow down during the day. Creating that space to pause and reflect will help you better cope with what is happening. It will also allow you to adapt to the world around you and avoid being drawn into the 'rate race'.

  • STOP
  • GIVE yourself 15 minutes to do what you want, then
  • RETURN back to what you were doing.
