Moving Beyond Basic Rehab

We've seen an increase in the number of new members that are 'broken' with lower back and hip issues from the repetitive nature of their work. They've told us the number of times (weeks to months) they've seen their regular physiotherapist with little to no positive change. At Inner Athlete we've worked in conjunction with some fabulous physios and seen great outcomes, however it begs the question for many others, is their Physio doing what is best practice for their patient?

Are we treating them as a human to return back to normal function? We need to move beyond the generic Bosu ball and clamshells to begin the process of re-wiring the way they move and do it often! This is best done by transitioning them to a Personal Training or a Strength and Conditioning Coach who understands movement mechanics well and can begin the gradual process of loading them up over time.

This is not a simple issue to tackle, but the industry needs to understand we need to begin improving function and load it up over time so it no longer becomes a reoccurring issue. That will become best practice!
